I love your station. I listen all the time since moving to Myrtle Beach. I do wish though that you would play "Carolina Is The Place For Me" and "Come on and Dance With Me" by The Night Riders more often. Thanks.

Dave, Noted and passed on to the programming dept. Sorry it has taken so long to respond..the glitch has been fixed

Y'all just played a song by Lou Rawls that I cannot think of the title of the song! It's driving me crazy! In the lyrics there is a phrase that is "Don't let anything or anyone turn your world upside down." I searched & searched iTunes & cannot find it. I thought it was called "Upside Down" but that never showed up. Can you please help me out

It's Upside Down from the album "When The Night Comes" also contains his hit "Couple Of More Years" It's from 1983

Thanks for keeping Beach Music alive in the Carolina's. Since the 70's I've been spending many summers in NMB enoying the sun and fun of the Grand Strand. I keep 94.9 The Surf on my desktop at work (oopss) all the time. Keep up the great work.

I herd a song you played by Tommy Black, I think the song name was Having fun in North Myrtle Beach. Where can I get this song ?

The CD will be out in a couple of weeks

Thanks,Ted, for playing the version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by the Poor Souls that you played today. While I love the slower version of the song, this is the version that made me fall in love with the Poor Souls (it & their version of "Brazil." It's been a while since I've heard it!

When I lived in Charlotte there was a station that played Beach Music. There is a song that I loved but can't remember the group. It was a R&B and there was a version that played 7 minutes. I think came out of 60's or 70's and I went through all my CD's with beach music no luck and would love to get this song on a CD. Heavy horns in the song. Help please

There are several songs that run that long "Pour Your Little Heart Out" English Drifters or "Soul'd Out" by the Fabulous Kay's

Steped Right Out of My Dreams by Too Much Sylvia might be at 13 but its still the best song of the top 20! The music, words, arrangement, nothing else come close.

I listen to your station on my ipad every night and all day at work. I love the music you play and never have to turn it off but I have to admit the music selection tonight 7/17 is terrible - it feels like a stuck in the 40's and 50's jukebox. hope this is not the new surf.... keep the beach music coming...
Rig and Kathy Ridgeway 07-17-2014 03:14 am
The best station we know of!!! It's the only station we listen to. We are here very often and our visits would not be the same without this station and our music. Please don't change it guys.

I LOVE this radio station and want to listen to it all I can in Concord, NC. Thanks so much for adding the iOS app recently! One problem, though. After a few songs, the music stops, and I receive an error, "cannot load movie." I have to completely shut down the app and re-open it. I wonder if it is a Flash-dependent advertisement? Can you control your advertisements and ask that they not use Flash? My iPhone and I do not like having to re-open the app continuously, but we love 94.9 the Surf app!!!!

Thanks so much.

Ted, you played a song Saturday I think by the Carolina breakers. it was a new song but didn't make it on the top 20. some of the lyrics were "theres no correcting my mistake". whats the name of that song and what cd is it on? thanks

The new Carolina Breakers song is "Fell In Love Too Late" featuring their newest member Pat Carpenter, so talented and they are so fortunate to have him. It will be out very soon.

This is by far, the best station anywhere,on any dial. Dropped my XM since I learned how to play it on the road. Best DJ's, best music, best entertainment. Plays in house thru sound system 24/7 on a dedicated tablet. Thanks guys for making us move and shake, even when the coffee is brewing.

Hi - we found your radio station by accident. We were renovating our kitchen, up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada - and wanted some summer music to work by. Well, your station fit the bill perfectly! Had a great time being amused by your DJ and grooving to your tunes. Favorite On-Ar Conversation: (Promoting Fat Harold's) "You need to come down and watch the young people shagging." Other Dude: "You should even ask one of them to dance, you might pick up something." We are still giggling about that. Enjoyed - May troll on by again some day!
Buddy Worrell 07-11-2014 12:32 am
Today (July 10) around 3:50 PM, you played a song from the Bee Gees that I have never heard. It was fantastic. Please tell me the title.

Thanks

My dance partner shared The Surf with me last year and my life changed! Born in '54 I feel like I missed one of history's best eras and you're helping me catch up on having fun. Just love the music and the on air personalities! Is it possible to post a play list without compromising the spontaneity? I feel that would be very helpful for listeners like me.
Thanks in advance - hugs & kisses to you all and out listeners too!
